About the event
🌿 You're Invited to a Buzz-Worthy Gathering! 🌱
Sunday, June 22, 2025 | 2:30 PM
Please note: We normally meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month, but to honor Father’s Day, we’re gathering the 4th Sunday this June!
Join us for a special afternoon as we welcome guest speaker Lizanne Melton, a passionate beekeeper, adventurer, and lifelong learner!
Lizanne's beekeeping journey began in 2015 after a weekend course at the John C. Campbell Folk School. What started as curiosity has since blossomed into a thriving small business rooted in honey, hive products, and mentorship in the beekeeping community.
This spring, Lizanne was inspired by a talk from Amy Vu of Two Bees in a Podcast at the SC Bee Association Conference. That spark led her on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Thailand with the University of Florida and Burapha University—to study bees in the Chon Buri province!
